Why 24 GB is more than twice 12 GB
The panel keeps 15 percent of a plan outside the Java heap, for the memory Java needs next to the world, but never more than 2 GB. On 12 GB that share is 1,843 MB; from 24 GB up it stays at 2,048 MB. So doubling the plan more than doubles what the world itself can use:
| Plan | Memory | Heap for the world | Left for Java itself |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 12 GB | 10,445 MB | 1,843 MB |
| Premium | 24 GB | 22,528 MB | 2,048 MB |
| Ultimate | 48 GB | 47,104 MB | 2,048 MB |
The same numbers are in how much RAM a Minecraft server needs. A server that goes past its limit is stopped without a crash report, and this split is what prevents that.
Where a 24 GB server runs, and what it costs
| Region | Line | Hardware | Premium, 24 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany | Standard line | A shared server processor, 150 GB SSD | €20.95 |
| Germany | Performance line | AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 120 GB Enterprise NVMe | €41.95 |
| Poland (Warsaw) | Performance line | AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with DDR5, 120 GB Enterprise NVMe | €41.95 |
| United Kingdom, US East, US Central, US West | Standard line | A shared server processor, 150 GB SSD | €20.95 plus a small monthly surcharge |
The German and Polish locations are included in the price; the other regions show their surcharge at checkout.
On this size the two lines are far apart: €20.95 against €41.95. The Standard line gives you the memory and the most storage for the money. The Performance line is for a heavy pack where the processor, not the memory, is what runs out: if the memory graph has room left while the tick time climbs, more memory will not help and a faster core will. Finding lag with spark shows which of the two you have.
Every term for 24 GB
| 24 GB Java | 24 months | 12 months | 6 months | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard line | €20.95 | €21.95 | €22.95 | €23.95 |
| Performance line | €41.95 | €43.95 | €44.95 | €46.95 |
Euros per month. A 24 month term saves the most on a plan this size.
24 GB with Java and Bedrock players together
| 24 GB Crossplay | 24 months | 12 months | 6 months | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard line | €22.95 | €23.95 | €24.95 | €25.95 |
| Performance line | €43.95 | €45.95 | €46.95 | €48.95 |
A Crossplay server translates for its Bedrock players inside the same process, so a big mixed community uses more than the same world on Java alone. How Crossplay works.
What 24 GB is the right size for
| What you run | Players | Is 24 GB the size |
|---|---|---|
| A heavy modpack | 10 or more | Yes, start here |
| Several worlds on one server, such as survival, creative and a resource world | 10 or more | Yes, start here |
| A large modpack with a few hundred mods | 5 to 10 | Usually more than you need, 12 GB is the start |
| A plugin server with an economy and minigames | 10 to 20 | More than you need, 8 GB is the start |
Several worlds on a plugin server usually means Multiverse: running multiple worlds with Multiverse. Pregenerating each world first means new terrain is not generated while players explore: pregenerate a world with Chunky.
A modpack page on CurseForge or Modrinth often lists a recommended amount of memory. If a pack recommends more than 12 GB, or your players will spread out in many directions at once, this is the size to start on.
Premium against Standard and Ultimate
| Plan | Memory and vCPU | Standard line | Performance line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 12 GB, 3 vCPU | €14.95, 100 GB SSD | €20.95, 80 GB Enterprise NVMe |
| Premium | 24 GB, 4 vCPU | €20.95, 150 GB SSD | €41.95, 120 GB Enterprise NVMe |
| Ultimate | 48 GB, 6 vCPU | €41.95, 300 GB SSD | €83.95, 240 GB Enterprise NVMe |
Per month on a 24 month term. Twice the memory of Standard costs €6.00 a month more on the Standard line.
