Acceptable Use Policy

Not allowed, ever

• Anything illegal under Dutch or European law, and any material that sexualises children
• Attacking other systems, or taking part in one: floods, scanning, brute forcing, botnets
• Distributing malware, stolen accounts, stolen software, or paid plugins and modpacks you did not buy
• Sending spam from the server, or using it to relay mail
• Harassment, threats, or organising them
• Pretending to be someone else, or running a scam or phishing page on the free website

Not what a game server is for

• Mining cryptocurrency, or any other work that exists to burn processor time
• Proxies, VPN exits, tunnels or anonymising services for other traffic
• Storing files that have nothing to do with a game world, using the server as a drive
• Breaking out of your own server towards the machine or towards another customer
• Getting around the limits of your plan, for example by running several servers inside one

Sharing a machine

Your plan gives you memory and processor time. A server that uses far more than its share for a long time, usually because of a plugin or a mod that is stuck rather than because anyone meant it, slows down the machine for everyone. We will tell you what we see and help you find it. If it cannot be fixed, we may move your server or ask you to move up a plan.

Minecraft has its own rules

Mojang and Microsoft set rules for running a Minecraft server, including what you may sell to your players. Those rules are between you and them, and you are the one who has to follow them. We do not police your shop, but we will act if we are told to by the people who own the game.

What happens if something is wrong

In most cases we send you a message and give you time to fix it. For an attack, clearly illegal content, or anything that puts the machine or other customers at risk, the server goes off first and you hear from us straight away after. Repeated or deliberate abuse ends the agreement, and in that case there is no refund.

Reporting something

If a server hosted here is doing something on this list, tell us through the contact page. Say which address it is and what you saw, and keep anything that shows it. We look at every report ourselves.
